Bonfire Night is the perfect excuse to enjoy your garden one last time before winter.

Make your friends envious by throwing a truly exceptional party this year. In addition to a spectacular fireworks finale, we think the following items are essential:

Seating:

Consider investing in a plush garden sofa, they’re the epitome of outdoor comfort.  A beautifully designed sofa will enhance your garden, almost turning it into a room of its own.

Love interior decorating? Got an eye for design?  Spruce up the space with throw pillows in rich colours and eye-catching patterns.

Ensure there’s sufficient seating for guests.  We’re loving these statement stools by Philippe Starck.   Perfect if you have an outdoor bar. Eagle-eyed design aficionados will spot that they’re a homage to three iconic chair designs: the Series 7 by Arne Jacobsen, the Tulip Armchair by Eero Saarinen and the Eiffel Chair by Charles Eames.

Lighting:

Outdoor lighting has advanced so much over the last few years. Nowadays, there are a number of options to suit all budgets.

Want to create a nice ambience for your evening soiree? Don’t be tempted to dust off last year’s Christmas fairy lights. Instead, invest in some festoon lighting.

Festoon lighting has soared in popularity recently. This is an offshoot of the industrial lighting and filament bulb trend that has emerged over the last few years.  Tip: Choose bulbs with a warmer tone (rather than bright white) to create the perfect party ambience.

An outdoor lamp is another great lighting option for your garden. They give patios a cosy, homely feel.

If you’d like to invest in a permanent lighting solution, consider installing a few of these copper and bronze wall lanterns from Collection BOOM by Bega.  We don’t have to tell you that copper is the metal of the moment!

Cooking:

A wood-fired oven is a must-have for any bonfire party.  Use your own to cook up crowd-pleasing food in the garden in no time at all (whatever the weather).  You can serve up everything from delicious pizzas to beautiful flatbreads, perfectly chargrilled vegetables to perfect jacket potatoes – and more. Plus, who can resist that gorgeous smoky wood-fired flavour?

There is a range of design options available nowadays, so you’ll find something to suit your taste. From small, rustic-looking ovens to beautiful, sleek and modern designs.

Heating:

With winter on the horizon, you have to think about keeping your guests warm during the evening.  Of course, a fire pit is the perfect choice for Bonfire Night.

However, if you entertain outdoors regularly, you may prefer a gas-powdered fire pit table instead.  They’re great if you don’t want to be concerned with smoke, spitting and sparks.

Music:

Impress your guests by creating the perfect party playlist. Invest in some wireless outdoor speakers and stream your music into the garden. We love Bose’s SoundTouch outdoor speaker system, which withstands extreme temperatures, rain and snow.
